Patient Monitoring
Application of Patient Monitoring

Patient monitor
as a practical monitoring and diagnostic medical instrument for hospitals, can monitor the physical condition of patients, and it will immediately provide alarm processing if abnormal conditions occur during the monitoring process. The patient monitor has the functions of collecting, storing and intelligently analyzing early warning of ECG information. It is mainly used in intensive care units (ICU/CCU), ambulances, and operating rooms.
ECG machine (EKG)
as a medical electronic instrument commonly used in clinical diagnosis and scientific research, it can automatically record and print the bioelectrical signal (electrocardiography) generated by the excitation of the heart muscle during heart activity, so that doctor can judge the state of the patient’s heartbeat based on the electrocardiography. ECG machines are used in hospitals and clinics for cardiology and heart rate monitoring.

Patient Monitoring Indicators
Patient monitoring as the accepted standard in medical care to assess a patient’s physical condition and quickly identify any deterioration so that appropriate care can be specified. the basic monitoring modalities in general, include pulse oximetry, noninvasive blood pressure, electrocardiogram, temperature, and capnography; while the more advanced cardiovascular monitoring, including invasive pressure monitoring, and invasive and non-invasive cardiac output monitoring devices.
Pulse oximetry (SpO2)
Pulse oximetry (SpO2) is based on using the pulsatile variations in optical density of tissues in the red and infrared wavelengths to compute SaO2 without need for calibration.
Electrocardiogram (ECG)
Electrocardiogram (ECG) records the electrical signals in the heart. It’s a common and painless test used to quickly detect heart problems and monitor the heart’s health.
Blood pressure (NIBP/IBP)
Devices provide an estimate on blood pressure (BP) based on the pressure oscillations in the cuff and characterize the stress level of the test subject by displaying their average heart rate during the measurement.
Temperature (TEMP)
The measurement of body temperature can help detect illness. It can also monitor whether or not treatment is working.
Capnography (CO2)
Capnography can provides a continuous, breath-by-breath measure of the respiratory rate and CO2 exchange, but it readings are not affected by the presence or absence of additional oxygen; Capnography is a very useful tool in emergency medicine and acute care.
